About zilla

Chances are you heard of me because my Tiktok account blew up after I started reading the sesamerot. For some reason I also have a Wikipedia page. I legit do not know how that happened, but I do update it from time to time. Assuming it’s still there by the time you read this, you’ll see how I did all the art for the David Kane Quartet album “The Life & Times Of Guy Friday”. It was that art project that got me keyed in to the Buffalo art scene, and it’s how I first met Robby Takac at the very first Music Is Art Festival.

Around this time I worked for a local TV station, and through them managed to get myself work on a couple movies. This was how I ended up landing a (very) small speaking role in the film Proud (but hey, Aidan Quinn was in it, which gives me a legit Bacon Number of 2).

I was also in several bands around Buffalo, and had my own band for a couple years called Z. Mann Zilla & The World’s Largest Trio. The joke is that there were like 9 of us. We were fun to watch live. I also wrote and performed a rap with Robby Takac’s side project amUnGus called Monochrome Monotony.

Somewhere in all of that I had time to get married and have a daughter. They don’t really want to be “part of the show” as it were, so don’t be surprised if you never see any pictures of them.

Later after moving to the West Coast, I started doing portraits for people in exchange for money. This led to me doing a lot of trade with wrestlers and getting keyed into the Pacific Northwest wrestling community. Which is why most of my recent pictures are typically of me posing with wrestlers. Wrestlers are just… the best.

At some point during all of this I had time to produce a rap album called Art Is A Verb. Click that link and check it out on Spotify!

Then back in 2021 I got bored and decided to check out Tiktok. A few months later I did a goofy parody tarot-esque reading with some children’s flash cards, and that’s how about 200,000 or so of you know who I am.

These days, I spend most of my personal time writing, freelancing, editing books, hanging out with my streamer pals, and noodling with my video series, also called PANDANGIT!, which is about whatever it is I feel like over-nerding about that week.

I hope that’s enough “intro” for you. If more be needed, follow me at BlueSky or check me out on YouTube.
